This is a designing for learning with technology workshop presented by Learning Environments open to University of Melbourne staff only.
About this session
Learning analytics can give teaching staff detailed insight into how learners are engaging with the subject content and learning activities presented to them.
Participants in this online workshop will be provided with an overview of the learning analytics resources currently available at the University of Melbourne. Then, relying on evidence based research, participants will be presented with a framework on how to use learning analytics in their teaching. There will be two collaborative tasks in which participants will use their own subjects as their case study.
By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Define learning analytics
- Evaluate learning analytics resources currently available at the University of Melbourne to use in their own subjects
- Apply the presented framework to use learning analytics in teaching to their own subjects
