About this session

In this workshop we will look at how you can transform your existing lecture materials into a more engaging online format that’s sure to enhance the overall student experience.

Learning outcomes

  • Discover how you can break down existing lecture content and present it in a way that is more suitable and engaging for online delivery.
  • Use video tools to create short videos in a range of common formats.
  • Redesign and/or replace parts of a lecture with online activities that can be staged in Canvas for a better online student experience.

Presenters

Nathan Grieve | Learning Environments

Nathan is a Learning Designer at Learning Environments. He has supported staff across multiple Faculties with their migration to Canvas, and with FlexAp subjects. He is interested in learning new technologies and discovering new approaches to online learning.

Jamie Morris | Learning Environments

Jamie is the Coordinator, Teaching and Learning Production at Learning Environments. He has produced several hundred educational media projects, covering almost every academic topic imaginable.
