Opportunities for customised LMS workshops and copyright awareness sessions are also available.
Theory, research and practice workshops
An integrated series of workshops presented by Learning Environments and MCSHE based on theoretical foundations for using certain digital technologies in teaching, learning and assessment. Workshops include supporting case studies, evidence from research, and strategies and tips for practice on issues related to designing for learning with technology including, learning design, flipped classrooms, video in teaching and learning, feedback and assessment, and learning analytics.
Practical pedagogy sessions
This series of short pedagogy based sessions offered throughout the year, provide an opportunity for academic, professional and Learning Environments staff to showcase tools and methods used in teaching and learning with technology and present practical demonstrations of innovative pedagogical tools in practice, as well as creating opportunities for discussion and collaboration.
These masterclasses have been developed as short intensive sessions, focusing on new tools, activities or ideas to inspire and extend the possibilities of teaching with digital and media technologies. These are ‘hands-on’, practical demonstrations using example case studies and will be delivered by experienced Learning Environments staff using a problem based ‘see one, do one’ approach. Participants will be encouraged to bring their own examples or projects for a more relevant experience!
