What’s new after the LMS maintenance of Friday 21 July 2017?

LMS technical maintenance work conducted at 10:00pm on Friday 21 July to 5:00am Saturday 22 July by teams across University Services has delivered successful improvements to the LMS for our user community.

The LMS was unavailable to users overnight but was successfully returned to staff and students by 5:00am – well ahead of the advertised outage period.

During the maintenance window, the LMS was upgraded to a later version to ensure the University keeps abreast of the latest changes to Blackboard and has continued vendor support.

What’s new for users from this maintenance window:

  • The ability to ‘drag and drop’ files in subjects and communities
  • Students will now receive an emailed receipt for Blackboard assignments

Guides and workshops have been updated to support staff and students with these changes.
