Ngee Ann Polytechnic visits Learning Environments

Last week, Learning Environments hosted visitors from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, one of five Polytechnics in Singapore, for an afternoon workshop to share knowledge and experience in the development of online and blended courses.

Topics discussed included e-assessment, video and media production for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and Learning Design principles and approaches in higher education. Head of Learning Design and Production at Graduate Online-Melbourne, Andrew Buntine, also spoke about the University of Melbourne’s current development of wholly online postgraduate courses.

Ee-Lon Lim, Deputy Head, Office of Learning Technologies at Ngee Ann stated afterward that it was “wonderful to understand the efforts to support online learning and MOOCs at the University of Melbourne” and that the medley of presentations provided by staff at the University of Melbourne “etched deep impressions” on him and his colleagues.
