Designing for learning with technology: interactive workshops now available

The Learning Environments in collaboration with MCSHE professional development series: “Designing for Learning with Technology” is now open for enrolment.

The program builds on existing LMS workshops, and provides a wide and interesting variety of interactive workshops and practice sessions covering pedagogical and technology related issues in learning and teaching, and will assist staff in developing expertise and confidence in their learning, teaching and assessment activities.

The professional development program includes 3 streams:

  1. Theory, research and practice workshops – providing theoretical foundations for the use of certain technologies
  2. Practical pedagogy – provide showcase examples of how staff (academic and professional) have applied technology to enhance engagement and the learning experience.
  3. Masterclasses– introducing new tools, activities and ideas in extending the possibilities of digital and media technologies in teaching.

Upcoming workshops include:

Learning design: Friday 20th April, 2-4pm

Feedback and assessment: Thursday 17th May, 10am-12pm

The flipped classroom: Thursday 1st May, 2-4pm

Using video in teaching: Tuesday 29th May, 2-4pm

Using learning analytics in teaching: Tuesday 12th June, 2-4pm
