Tracking student responses in Poll Everywhere

Track how individual students are engaging with content and understanding concepts using Poll Everywhere.

Poll Everywhere is an interactive polling software that can be used in lectures, seminars, tutorials, as well as LMS subjects and communities, to improve collaboration, engagement and feedback in learning and teaching. All staff at the University of Melbourne are able to access Poll Everywhere quickly and easily with their University username and password, and the relevant software has been integrated with PowerPoint on nearly all teaching space computers throughout the University.

One of the many great features of Poll Everywhere is the ability to track student responses. By asking students to log in to Poll Everywhere with their University of Melbourne student usernames, you can track which students have answered which polls, and what responses they have provided. This can be useful in tracking student progress and knowing how individual students are engaging with content and understanding concepts.

To track student responses ask students to log into Poll Everywhere using the University of Melbourne Poll Everywhere log-in for staff and students. Once they have logged in, then ask them to answer your poll via your personalised Poll Everywhere URL.

Workshops on Poll Everywhere are currently available through Learning Environments, where staff can learn the basics of using the tool. Consultations are also available for staff that wish to enquire about ways to implement polls in the classroom and online settings, including tracking student responses.
