Semester 1 subjects will be made available to students on Friday 16 February

  • All Semester 1, 2018 (2018_SM1) and year-long (2018_YRL) subjects in the LMS will be made available to students on Friday 16 February at 10am.
  • All Semester 2, 2017 (2017_SM2) subjects and year long subjects, 2017 (2017_YRL) in the LMS will be made unavailable to students on Friday 16 February at 10:00am.

But, you don't have to wait until this date! You can make your subject available or unavailable to students at any time using the following steps.

To make a subject available or unavailable to students

Within your subject, go to:

  1. Control Panel > Customisation > Properties
  2. Set Make Subject Available = Yes or No
  3. Click Submit.

Don't forget - all subjects with non standard study periods (such as FEB, MERGE, TM1, SUM, etc) will not be made automatically available by the system - they must be made available by the staff preparing the subject, using the steps above.

An alternative to making the entire subject available or unavailable to students is to choose to make certain content visible or invisible to students within the subject:

While you are finalising content, you can decide which menu items are shown or hidden and decide which items within each page should be visible to students.

Using the Show/Hide Link setting, you can choose which menu items are visible to students:

Using the Permit Users to View this Content = NO setting, you can also choose which items on a page are visible to students:

Item Not Available in LMS
Unavailable content
