Project Evolve update: September

After a successful pilot phase of moving a smaller number of subjects to Canvas, the Evolve team are now commencing the process of migrating all 2020 subjects to Canvas. As part of the initial stage of migrating and creating subjects in Canvas, we require key information from you about the content of your subject, and the teaching staff that will be involved.

Please click on the following (very short!) Migration Questionnaire to provide the required information.

Special Note for Law - Please hold off from undertaking the survey at this time. The Law School will notify it’s academics of how migration is to proceed in the coming months. If you are an academic from the Melbourne Law School with questions regarding the rollout, please email Julie Clarke directly at clarke.j1@unimelb.edu.au.

Special Note for FVAS - Please hold off from undertaking the survey at this timePlease contact fvas-elearning@unimelb.edu.au about your 2020 subject migrating to Canvas

How will the migration of my subject/s work?

When you are ready to move, the support team will:

  • Migrate your nominated source subject in Blackboard to Canvas.
  • Assist with an initial analysis and remediation of the migrated content and activities.
  • Contact you to organise when, during your preferred week (nominated in the questionnaire), you are available to attend a consultation workshop.
  • Work with and support you in finalising your subject and preparing it for teaching.

We look forward to meeting with you to discuss the migration of your subject(s) to our new Canvas LMS. If there is anything we can clarify further about these initial steps, or the questionnaire itself, please do not hesitate to contact us via our ServiceNow form and a project team member will follow up with you.
