Project Evolve update: May

As Project Evolve moves closer to the Semester 2 launch of the pilot phase of Canvas, we are now busy preparing the 110 pilot subjects and offering professional development to teaching staff by way of the 'Canvas: Getting Started' workshop. Subject coordinators involved in the pilot will also be offered one-on-one consultations with a Migration Support Assistant throughout May. This consultation will give staff the opportunity to review their subject content in Canvas and discuss how to best present and/or modify this content to fit the new Canvas format. In addition to assisting staff involved in the pilot, the Evolve team is also meeting regularly with student representatives to provide information and seek their advice and feedback, ensuring a positive student experience throughout both the pilot and full scale roll-out of Canvas in 2020.

Following on from previous updates, the membership of the Evolve Faculty Reference Group (EFRG) is now being finalised so that the group can begin its vital role in providing advice and information with the voice of faculties in mind.
