eTextbooks: An opportunity to participate in a 2018 pilot

In semester two this year, a number of subjects began a trial use of eTexts through an eTextbook platform provider, VitalSource. The eTexts were made available to students via links in their LMS subjects. The outcomes of the trial were positive, with improved access to, and affordability of learning materials for students. The trial is now being considered for wider release in 2018. If you would like to participate in the extended pilot, the criteria is:

  • The subject is likely to have at least 300 students enrolled
  • The textbook used is prescribed and has not been set for a previous related subject
  • There is no open book exam.
