Blackboard decommission: support resources now available

The Blackboard decommission process is underway and has been designed to ensure a smooth transition for all users and administrators of the LMS. Support resources are now available for staff and students who wish to make requests about accessing Blackboard content.

Please note, from Monday 7 September 2020, University of Melbourne staff and students will no longer have direct access to Blackboard. This means that staff and students will no longer have permission to log in, have access to content in previously taught subjects and communities in Blackboard, nor access to Blackboard file storage locations. There are no longer any sanctioned exceptions, with all such terms now expired by that date.

Staff can refer to the Blackboard LMS Decommission page on the Project Evolve Staff Hub page. It includes a roadmap and detailed timeline of the Blackboard decommission process and FAQs on how to request access to previously taught Blackboard content once direct access is retired. Further FAQs are available on the LMS website which details support specific to student requests and the Blackboard archive.
