Automatic transcription of videos in Lecture Capture
Did you know that automatic speech recognition (ASR) transcripts are available in Lecture Capture?
This means that any video content published to subject pages with Lecture Capture will receive an automatically generated text transcript file shortly after recordings have been processed in the system. These transcripts can be accessed by students and instructors from the Lecture Capture viewing interface by selecting the transcript icon while viewing a recording.
Transcripts can be edited by instructors to increase accuracy and identify speakers if required.
Transcripts can then also be used for Closed Captions for accessibility purposes if the transcription has been reviewed as suitably accurate.
