Podcasting – learning through audio

Practical pedagogy sessions

Creating audio files can sometimes be an easier alternative to producing a video. This session explores the use of podcasting in teaching practice.

About this session

Not everyone is comfortable presenting to camera. Creating audio files can be a quicker and cheaper alternative when compared to the time and cost associated with video production – but can be just as powerful in delivering key messages and ideas.

Participants attending this session will learn about the benefits of podcasting, how one might use podcasts in teaching and learning contexts, practical tips related to set up – including equipment and training considerations and how to you encourage students to develop podcasts for assessment purposes.
