MOOCs at Melbourne

In 2013, The University of Melbourne became the first Australian University to join Coursera, the educational technology company which partners with leading world-wide universities to offer free online access to world-class higher education. Through Coursera, the University of Melbourne provides first-class tertiary courses, commonly referred to as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), to a broad and diverse audience who otherwise may not have the chance to engage with the University.

MOOCs at Melbourne typically run for 5-8 weeks each, and include a series of video lectures, interactive content, discussion forums, course wikis, and peer assessment - all geared for a cohort of many thousands of online students from across the globe!
